Brush fire Nottingham Park

On May 6th, 2008 at 1350hrs the Company was dispatched for Brush 25 to relocate and cover Station 21, Oxford, while they battled a multi-acre woods fire at the Nottingham Park. Brush 25 arrived at Station 21 along with an engine from Kennett and a Pumper/Tanker from Cochranville. Approx 10 minutes into the relocate, Command requested the standby's to the scene. Brush 25 arrived on W. Ridge Rd and was given an assignment to access the park via Firebreak 8. Cochranville Engine 27-5 paired up with Brush 25 and both units battled numerous fires throughout the park. Units operated on the fireground for approx 5 hours before returning to service.
