On 04-26-2016 at approximately 0200hrs, the First Alarm assignment in Concordville's first due was dispatched to the Unit block of Dogwood Hill Lane in Chadds Ford Township.

59-9 responded and was advised that the alarm would be working fire. Ladder 25 (LaBare) responded with 6 and was immediately followed by E-25-1 (Ruoss) with 4 personnel and Tanker 25. Concordville Units arrived to find a large two story single family dwelling fully involved. Ladder 25 arrived and was instructed to prepare for ladder pipe operations. E-25-1 established a dump site at Dogwood Hill Ln and Ring Rd with Tanker 25 supply multiple loads of water throughout the early morning. Utility 25 responded with additional personnel to assist with the dump site operation.

Multiple Tankers from Chester and New Castle Counties were requested to supply an adequate water supply for the non-hydrant area. Ladder 25 flowed over 80,000 gallons of water to extinguish the fire.

Station 21 originally was dispatched to cover our first due but was re-directed to the scene along with Tanker 21 for additional water supply efforts.

Thanks for Station 54 (Goshen) for covering the area during the incident.

The Company returned to service at 0830hrs.
