Between October 23rd and November 12th the Longwood Fire Company and Kennett Township Police Department with the help from Reverend Annalie Korengel of the Unionville Presbyterian Church had a huge success with their first annual Coat Drive! The coat drive was celebrated at a beautiful Thanksgiving service on Sunday November 19th at the Unionville Presbyterian Church. It was estimated that approximately 1,000 coats and additional winter attire were donated. The amount of donations were overwhelming and we cannot express how thankful we are to everyone who helped make the coat drive a success! Special thanks to the Rotary Club of Kennett Square, Pa, the Kendal-Crosslands Communities, Umbreit, Korengel & Associates, P.C., Exelon and Genesis Careers.
