By Captain Adam Cressman
February 23, 2010

On Tuesday afternoon, shortly after 1 PM, the Longwood Fire Company was dispatched for an auto accident with a van reportedly overturned and one occupant trapped. MICU 25-2 and 25-1 responded, followed by Rescue 25, Engine 25-2, and Traffic 25.

EMS crews reported a two vehicle accident on RT 926, East of Cartmel Drive. Crews also reported one vehicle was on it's side, blocking the roadway, and that all occupants were out of the vehicles.

As LFC fire police closed 926 between RT 52 and Parkersville Rd, crews from the Rescue and Engine stablized the incident and worked to contain leaking fluids from the vehicles involved. One patient was transported to Jennersville Hospital via MICU 25-2 to be checked. The incident was cleared at 2:35 PM at which time all units returned to the station.

Units: MICU 25-2, MICU 25-1, Rescue 25, Engine 25-2, Traffic 25
