| On Saturday May 21st, the Longwood Fire Company dedicated many man hours to the detailed cleaning of our station and apparatus. Organization was high on the list of things to do. As Members organized our storage areas, they cumulated a pile of tools, air packs, and other items that will be donated to the New Lancaster Valley Fire Company, in Milroy, Pennsylvania. Other "to do's" included completing our montly equipment checks, pressure washing our engine bay walls and floors, cleaning the interior and exterior of our apparatus, detailing our radio room and kitchen, replacing overhead light bulbs, and much more. As you drive past our station, you'll notice new mulch around the exterior of our building, which will soon be complimented by an array of flowers. At lunch time, we took a moment to enjoy a meal together and relax before heading off to continue our list of chores. The lunch was prepared by our members and we want them to know it was delicious! So, a well deserved thanks goes out to all the members who were able to join us in appreciating what we have and coming together to work as a team. |
