Longwood Fire Company's EMS Coordinator, Tammy Whiteman, and Jerry Peters, the ALS Program Director at Good Fellowship Ambulance Club's Training Institute, were recently crowned the cooking contest champions at the EMS Today conference in Baltimore, Md.

The cooking contest featured emergency services providers from around the nation who were asked to make a meal using five specific ingredients – flank steak, red onions, white button mushrooms, mayonnaise, and jarred, roasted red pepper.

The winning dish was a Southern Chester County Open-Faced Steak Sandwich, with bacon-mushroom-red wine sauce, served with roasted red potatoes and an iceburg lettuce wedge with red pepper-ranch dressing and blue cheese crumbles.

A story about them will appear on the Journal Of Emergency Medical Services Web site at www.jems.com.
