Chester County Commissioners issue 30 day burn ban!

As of this date, the Chester County Commissioners have issued a 30 day burn ban due to the long standing dry weather and numerous brush fires that have occurred in that time period.

Resolution 17-12 establishes a county wide burn ban, which supersedes any municipal ordinance that allows open burning.

A person who violates this ordinance commits a summary offense and shall be fined in accordance with Resolution 17-12.

Numerous fires have burned in Chester County and surrounding areas. Some of these brush fires have threatened or burned structures. Please be mindful of these dry conditions and report any opening burning to the 911 center.
