Jim McGovern Scholarship Fund

The Longwood Fire Company, accompanied with mixed emotion, is proud to announce the first recipient of the Jim McGovern Scholarship Fund.

This scholarship is a dedication to our fallen brother, and bright young man, who represented dedication, friendship, community service and had an understanding of the math and sciences unlike most. With Jim's warm smile and desire to help wherever and whenever needed, Jim McGovern taught many around him what it meant to be a community server. With this scholarship, we remember that Jim will forever be greatly missed and never forgotten.
