At 1112hrs the 2nd Alarm was struck for a commercial building fire in the 50blk of S. 3rd St in Oxford Borough.

Ladder 25 (LaBare) with 6 and E-25-1 (Ruoss) with 6 promptly made the 17 mile trek to the fire scene. Upon arrival Ladder 25 was assigned to Division 2 of the fire building to check for extension and open up. E-25-1 was assigned to the Bravo exposures to open up and check for extension.

Ladder 25's crew discovered moderate extension in the rear of the property and extinguished the same. It was then discovered that the single story roof in the roof would require extensive overhaul. Ladder 25 and E-25-1 operated for the next 4 hours removing the built up roof system while working around the collapse conditions.

25 crews cleared the scene at approximately 1630hrs and spent approximately 2 hours placing equipment back into service.

Thank you to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Union Fire Co #1 for the refreshments.
