Most Americans feel helpless during a cardiac emergency. Would you, a family member or friend know what to do if you saw some suddenly collapse? Increase your confidence and reduce your fears and hesitation during an emergency by being trained in Hands-Only CPR.

Longwood Fire Company in conjunction with Penn Medicine Chester County is hosting a free Hands-Only CPR, or CPR without mouth-to-mouth breathing, training course. This one-hour session explains causes, prevention, and treatment for sudden cardiac arrest. In one short hour, you will increase your confidence in recognition and basic treatments to provide life-saving assistance until the ambulance arrives. The best part is that this life-saving training opportunity is free and being held right in your backyard. Join us at the firehouse on Thursday April 7th at 5pm to learn. Bring the whole family, we will have ambulance and hospital staff who are certified instructors available to help train you to do cardiac compressions. RSVP at chestercountyhospital.org/wellness, by email EMS@longwoodfireco.com or by calling the firehouse at 610-388-6880 or Chester County Hospital 610-738-2300. We look forward to seeing you on Monday!

This is not a full CPR certification course.
