| Today the Willowdale Steeple chase event was held on Mother's day and was attended by hundreds of spectators. The day was nice and warm with sun all afternoon long. Many attractions were to be seen by all ranging from an antique/exotic car show, to terrier races, and to the main event the "steeple chase". The weather turned out to be beautiful and fun was had by all. The Longwood Fire Co. EMS was asked to staff a MICU and a Utility during the day's events. MICU 25-3 and Utility 25 provided standby EMS coverage at this event with several minor patients needing to be evaluated for injuries sustained during the events, with two transports to local hospitals handled by MICU 25-1. The Longwood Fire Co. is proud to be asked by the Steeple chase committee to provide our standby EMS coverage at the event. |
