| On Friday evening, just before 7 PM, the LFC was dispatched to assist Delaware County Station 59 on a building fire. Ladder 25 responded within 2 minutes of dispatch and was alerted by Delco Fireboard that numerous calls were taken for the working fire at the intersection of Magnolia Way and Poplar Street. Captain Cressman notified fireboard of a heavy column of smoke which was visible from 5 miles out. Minutes later, Engine 59-3 and Ladder 25 arrived on scene and reported a house under construction which was fully involved. Crews made a defensive fire attack with Ladder 25's aerial device and handlines from Engine 59-3. Additional units arrived on scene shortly thereafter to assist in complete extinguishment of the fire. The fire remained under investigation as crews returned to the station at 9:40 PM. |
