| At 1800hrs the members gathered at the station to prepare for a night of live fire training at the West Chester Fire Training Center. Crews were briefed on the night's assignments by Capt. Cressman and loaded up on the Engine and Truck for the short journey to West Chester.
Once arriving at the training center, crews staged on S. Matlack St for a simulated dispatch to a working fire in a private dwelling. Throughout the night crews worked on basic Engine and Truck Company tasks, such as handline management and advancement, portable ladders, search and resuce and apparatus positioning.
Completing the last evolution at 2130hrs, the members began to clean the fire building. All units returned to the station at 2230hrs.
Thanks to the West Chester Fire Department for allowing us the use of their training facility and to the Kennett Fire Co #1 for providing an engine standby while we were out of district. |
