Firefighter Coleman Simeral has always been about giving back to his community. Coleman has been an active firefighter with the company since 2004 and responded to hundreds of incidents to assist those who needed it. He proudly served with the company until 2011 when he relocated to Columbus, Ohio to accept a position with Limited Brands as a freelance graphic designer. Although he doesn't live in the area, he continues to give back to those in need of help.
Coleman will be participating in the Pelotonia, a long distance bicycle ride to benefit cancer research. He will join other riders in a 75 mile trek from Columbus, OH to Athens, OH with all of the proceeds of his ride going to the Comprehensive Cancer Center and James Cancer Hospital/Solove Research Institute at The Ohio State University. He has set a personal goal to raise $1,800 and is only a few hundred dollars away from reaching his target.
The Longwood Fire Company is extremely proud of Coleman as he takes on these new endeavors. Coleman has asked for the community's support to help reach his goal. If you are interested in making Coleman's goal a reality, you can support his ride by visiting the following website:
