Longwood Fire Company has certified technicians on staff who have completed the National Child Passenger Safety Certification. Staff members are available by appointment to perform an inspection on your childs car seat with flexible hours each day. Many times our technicians discover small errors in seats that are installed by caregivers. Our technicians will spend the appointment ensuring the seat is installed correctly. They will provide education to the caregivers on the recommendations and laws of using car seats properly, when to transition your child to the next size seat, and differences in seating locations including rear vs. forward facing.
