It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Life Member and Past Fire Chief Joe Johnson.
Joe joined the fire company in 1947 and held many positions throughout his career, including Past Fire Chief and Past President. Joe enjoyed 65 continuous years of service to the fire company and until his brief battle with cancer could often be found manning the station and assisting with the daily activities. Joe was a mentor to many and will truly be missed.
The services for Chief Johnson are as follows;
Weds night (03/28) from 6pm to 8pm at Longwood Funeral Home (old Dairy Queen) and a grave side service at the Longwood Cemetery (next to the firehouse) at 1100am on Thursday (03/29). Any company attending and wishing to send apparatus should contact Fire Chief A.J. McCarthy at 610-388-6880 and are requested to bring small apparatus due to parking limitations.
