It's that time of year again. Longwood is filling pools in our primary response area as well as a few neighboring township.

We use our 3,000 gallon tanker, so it takes us a little longer than our friends with the tractor trailers. We also use an all volunteer staff to accomplish this fundraising activity, which means the schedule has to revolve around the availability of our personnel. If you have a time sensitive need, please contact our office and we will check our schedules but most times we can't handle an immediate request for a large amount of water.

We will not fill a brand new pool due to liability issues. Requests to fill pools that were recently repaired are handled on a case by case basis. We try to limit the amount of water to 12,000 gallons but will handle larger requests on a case by case basis (location depending).

We will serve the following areas:

Pennsbury Township (entire township)
Pocopson Township (entire township)
East Marlborough Township (entire township)
Kennett Township (our primary response area)
Chadds Ford Township (Concordville Fire and Protection's Area with permission)

Please contact our office at 610-388-6880 or lkaluzny@longwoodfireco.com, and provide the following information:

Your name, street address, primary contact number, email address and the township your pool is located in. We also need to know who much water you are requesting, the length of hose (estimated) needed from the driveway and the days you are looking to have the water delivered.

Please note: We use pool fills as a fundraising activity as our operations relies heavily on donations and grants. Our municipal income doesn't cover the entire operational costs. We are not responsible for any damage to your property or pool. When you schedule with us, you accept the risk that your grass, driveway or pool may be damaged. We utilize our tanker which also responds to structure fires. We put fresh water in the tank before heading to a pool fill, but some discoloration is possible given the nature of the vehicle. While we haven't had any issues to date, we would to be up front before committing to your request. If this isn't acceptable, we suggest that you contact another organization.
