How expensive is it for the ambulance service? Charges can start at $1,200.00 and can increase to $1,800.00 Why should I become a subscriber? Your subscription helps ensure that we will meet our ever-growing community’s needs for emergency service. As a non-profit organization, a significant portion of our operating budget is supported by your subscription. We hope you never need us, but your financial support allows us to be trained and ready when and if you do.
Your subscription only applies when you are treated and/or transported by us as medically necessary in accordance with Centers for Medicare standards.
Yes! In some cases, depending on your carrier, your insurance may not cover 100% of your bill in the event you need emergency medical treatment and transport to a hospital. Your subscription will provide a discount of up to $300 which will be credited on the remainder of this balance. This is not an insurance policy, but a great way to support your community ambulance service and reduce you and your family’s medical costs.
In the event you need emergency ambulance service, we will bill your insurance company as a courtesy. Insurance payments are applied to your balance. In some cases, you may need to contact your insurance in order to assist us with your claim. As a subscriber, once your insurance benefits are
We make every effort to ensure that your claim is submitted according to NAAC standards. However, some insurance providers do not cover ambulance treatment and/or transportation. In this event, a subscriber will be credited $300 off the charge. What should I do if my insurance company sends me a check for payment of services provided by Longwood Fire Company EMS? If your insurance company sends you a check for full or partial payment for our services, you are required to forward that payment directly to us, so we can apply that payment immediately to your bill. Is a donation to Longwood Fire Company EMS tax deductible? Yes. As a non-profit 501 (c) 3 charitable organization, all donations made to us are tax-deductible
