Longwood Members Receive Rescue Certification

Over the past several months, 16 LFC members have been working hard to advance their technical rescue skills. These members are now nationally certified in Confined Space Rescue and have also gained the prerequisites needed to go on to other rescue training in the future.

To accomplish this, volunteers dedicated over 1600 manhours of their time on weekends and evenings to become certified. This involved learning and practicing skills and scenarios as well as studying for three written tests.
