Due to heavy rain last night and this morning local roads that are prone to flooding have once again proved troublesome. Longwood fire company personnel have assisted two stranded motorists this morning. The first being Rte. 926 and Creek Rd, and the second at Walnut Rd at Longwood Rd.
Please remember you should never drive through water on a road. The water hides hazards in the road and if moving fast enough can sweep your vehicle off the road.
Here is some information from the National Weather service on flooding roads; http://www.nws.noaa.gov/os/water/tadd/tadd-intro.shtml

Turn Around, Don’t drown!
