| At 0858 hours the LFC was alerted for a gas leak outside in the 1300 block of Lenape Road. Engine 25-1, Ladder 25, Engine 25-2, Traffic 25, and MICU 25-2 all responded within minutes of the dispatch. Engine 25-1 arrived on scene and corrected the address to the 400 block of Trolley Way and reported an active gas leak outside with a two-story dwelling 100 feet away as an exposure. Captain Cressman assumed Trolley Way Command as crews pulled a handline for protection, further investigated the gas leak, and controlled vehicular and pedestrian traffic around the incident. A representative from Sharp Energy Company arrived on scene within 30 minutes, and the stabilzed scene was turned over to the gas company shortly thereafter. |
