| On Sunday afternoon the Longwood Fire Company was initially dispatched to assist the Kennett Fire Company, station 24, for a reported building fire in the area of Rosedale and McFarland Roads. After some investigation, the location was corrected to the 700 block of Rosedale Road. Captain 25 (McCarthy) reported a room and contents fire at Liberty Mushrooms. Crews from Kennett and Longwood Fire Companies proceeded to the corrected location and worked to extinguish the fire. After containing the fire to the electrical panel, crews waited for PECO to disconnect power, at which time remaining hot spots were doused and crews returned to quarters. |
